December 16, 2008 10:17 by gemery

While attending The PDC Underground TechZulu's Geoffrey Emery  got  great chance to interview Microsoft’s Scott Guthrie.  As a developer I have been reading Scott’s blog for years and when you finally get to meet someone like that it almost is surreal. During the interview Scott and I sit down to talk about what he liked  at PDC and what new technologies that he thought was most excited about including the fundamental improvements in windows 7, and a bunch User interface enhancements such as multi-touch (see below) no longer just for the surface tables but also for everyday computers. After seeing touch so many ideas come to my head everything from a kiosks to kitchen Computers. We then take a dive into Microsoft’s new announcements. The first being windows azures services, improvements for MVC, asp.net 4.0, WPF, and how Silver Light 2.0. We dig under the covers a bit to see how Microsoft intends to ring Silver light to the forefront of RIA technology with richer graphics ,richer formats, better networking and how all this was shown with Olympics being streamed exclusively on silver light. We then proceed to do a deep dive into what Microsoft has not only for developers but also for Designers. All this and so much more be sure to check it out.

In the second video I got to dig into Scott a little bit about Being Scott. What he is up to in his personal life an what languages he likes to play with. Make sure to check it out.
